I won a Christmas tree from KOLA!

My family wakes up to KOLA oldies every morning. One particular morning two weeks ago, morning man Jim Daniels announced a Christmas tree haiku contest. So I promptly emailed KOLA my daughter's and my own haiku entries. A week later KOLA phoned to arrange a delivery of our tree on Sat. Dec. 10th. Saturday the 10th arrived, and Jim Daniels himself delivered us our tree! Wowwwww... so cool!! The tree is BEAUTIFUL. THANKS KOLA!

My haiku entry...
Christmas tree on bus
will delight the day for us
send one or we'll fuss.

My daughter's haiku entry...
Rudolph likes to fly
through the treetops in the sky
until, uh-oh, crash.

Another dad'ism

It's good to find something before you realize that it's lost.

long time no write

Wow I can't believe it's been four months since I've journalled!!! Since last written I've seen Rasputina, at the HOB in Anaheim and The Blue Man Group in Chicago. I'm planning on seeing The Dresden Dolls in L.A. at the end of December. I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy concerts more than dating. So instead of spending my valuable free time on another man who doesn't rock my world, I'm just going to skip the whole dating thing and attend more concerts instead. Julia scores another high five for brilliancy.
